Knit for kids in need of volunteers to knit warm 'stuff' for winter :) Items will be distributed through the Salvation Army in Prince George. Bin will be set up at Pine Centre Mall.

Top Drawer Yarn Studio opened yesterday in Art Space.  Nice little shop, lots of light.  Lots of Debbie Bliss yarn and books, which I love!!!  The had some beautiful pink/blue wool which I was tempted to buy but I am hair straight back with Knit for Kids, so I don't want to start any new projects till Knit for Kids is over.  GREAT GREAT to have another yarn shop in town and with books!  What a great combo!!

Knit for Kids is a volunteer program in Prince George.  We need volunteers to knit/crochet warm items for children here which will be distributed by the Salvation Army.  We need items such as scarves, hats, socks, mittens etc.  A drop off bin is placed in the Pine Center Mall at Christmas time for drop off.  Knit all year round to make a difference for kids here in Prince George.

I'm working on some knitted hand warmers.  I spent many hours last night in front of the TV.  My hands are cramps.....oh for the love of knitting.....  Will post pictures soon.  I am hoping to write the pattern for these hand warmers just want to make sure they are super pretty!
